Young Man's Fancy

Young Man's Fancy

SKU: EMB221

These familiar words are taken from the poem 'Locksley Hall' by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. The Hall is very near to where I live and was visited by the poet many times as a relative lived there; his home was in Somersby in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

In my design the male blackbird is proposing to the female blackbird by offering her a sprig of Spring blossom. It would make a lovely engagement gift, or wedding present.

The plain light wood frame measures 8" (20cm) square and will arrive with glass in place, corded ready to hang, with my studio stamp on the back. The mount carries the title 'Young Man's Fancy' and is signed. My studio stamp is on the back.
