White Lace
I have drawn inspiration for this embroidery from delicate vintage fabrics which I have incorporated into the textile including faded cotton prints, lace, genuine very old mother of pearl buttons, part of an antique tablecloth (too badly damaged to be used) onto which I have embroidered tiny flowers in silk, and other embroidery stitches. In addition I have worked two applique doves with hearts in ther beaks. The vintage fabrics and intricate embroidery, mostly in white give the work a lightness and romance making it a perfect wedding, engagement or new baby gift.
If you are buying as a gift, I can supply a small plain white card to affix to the back of the picture (adhesive tape provided) for you to write a personal gift inscription. Please email me or leave a note in the comments box when checking out if you would like me to include a card.
The work is in a lightly distressed whitened wood frame measuring 8"/20cms square and will arrive glazed, corded, with my studio stamp on the back, all ready to hang. The mount has the title 'White Lace' and is signed.
