A Pretty Dozen

For this piece I have chosen twelve of my own hand-dyed cottons as backgrounds for a variety of motifs, including applique hearts daisies, vintage lace and embroidered flowers. Vintage fabrics are used for the hearts.  I than added three genuine vintage mother of pearl buttons from my collection to add some shine and texture to the piece, which is constructed within a running-stitch background.
 
The frame is a lightly distressed whitened wood measuring 7" (18cm) square and the embroidery will arrive with glass in place, corded, ready to hang, with my studio stamp on the back. The double depth mount carries the title 'A Pretty Dozen' and is signed.
