Winter Hedgerow

Framed in a double window mount measuring just 2" x 3" is a miniature hand-stitched
piece of embroidery which I have worked 'free-hand' wherever the needle took me. Inspired by the hedgerows around where I live, which are festooned with berries in the winter, this little piece of detailed finely worked embroidery is unique. I have stitched the twisted thicket of twigs in hand-dyed brown threads and added tiny french knots in a varigated red thread for the berries.

The work is framed in a lightish brown wood frame (7" sq) with a little limewax rubbed into the grain giving it a rustic look which works well with the subject of the embroidery. The mount it signed, and carries the title 'Winter Hedgerow'

Should you decide to buy, this is the actual piece of my work you will receive. Every one of my creations is truly unique and stitched by hand.
