The Old Sewing Machine

There is something rather wonderful about the design of the old Singer sewing machine!  I have designed this embroidery to celebrate the joy of sewing. The miniature applique is hand-stitched into place and there are finely worked details stitched by hand, including the thread running through the machine and a colourful
piece of patchwork being stitched. A tiny heart motif can just be seen on one of the squares!

Mounted in a lightly distressed wood frame (7" square) with a little limewax rubbed into the grain, the embroidery will arrive with glass in place and my signature on the mount, together with the title 'The Old Sewing Machine'

If you are buying as a gift I can add a little card to the back of the picture, below my studio stamp, for you to add your own gift message to make a very special and lasting gift.

Sould you decide to buy, this is the actual piece of my work you will receive, as although I sometimes repeat my designs, no two are ever the same as my threads, fabrics and design details vary. The embroidery shown here is truly unique.
