NEW FOR 2010 - This entirely hand-stitched piece of work consists of a tree, made up of hundreds of individually stitched leaves with tiny white flowers in-between. Two hand-cut miniature applique birds are stitched in the centre with a heart motif between their beaks. They represent Mr and Mrs Blackbird, planning their future life together!

I have pieced together a border around the tree from an array of fabrics, in rich 'stained glass' colours, adding a few very small vintage buttons here and there.

The textile is framed in a lightly distressed brown wood frame with a little limewax rubbed into the grain giving it a vintage look. The frame measures 9" square (23cms)
and the work will arrive with glass in place, corded, all ready to hang on your wall.

I sign each of my creations on the mount and my studio stamp is on the back of the picture. Every piece of my work is unique and should you decide to buy, this is the actual embroidery you will receive.

The work would make a lovely gift for engagement, wedding, new baby or any special time. It would also make a cheerful addition for any collector of my work.
