Two hand-stitched miniatures mounted onto greeting cards, with titles written beneath: New Arrival and Little Bluebird. I
have combined some of my favourite vintage cottons with my own
hand-dyed threads and fabrics to give a vintage feel to these little
textiles. The
little pram card has a hand-tied silk ribbon bow at the top and a tiny applique heart motif cut from a starry fabric dating from 1930s. Both cards have genuine vintage mother-of-pearl buttons from my collection. Each
carefully worked miniature is a gift in itself to keep
and frame, as well as a card in which to write your message. The
cards measure 12 x 9 cm and each comes with an envelope in a protective
cellophane sleeve. The cards are signed on the front and my studio stamp
is on the back. (cards are made from stout 100% recycled card)
