Commissions

I have worked on commissions to mark anniversaries, weddings, Christenings, and other occasions, and enjoy making these unique pieces. I have made a set of stoles for a priest, for which I was asked to design emblems to represent four Christian Mystics. You will see that I make cards with tiny embroideries on them and these can be made to order as wedding invitations for instance, to fit in with your wedding theme, perhaps using leftover fabric from the bridesmaid’s dresses.

Designs in the Little Framed Embroideries collection can be adapted to accommodate some stitched names or dates, or simply made to order with a hand-written inscription on the mount.

Hand-stitch has long been used to mark ‘rites of passage’ and many pieces survive to become treasured family heirlooms.
